Mare Island Brewing site redesign
Feb '22
I love craft beer. I've been a homebrewer (and a judge), a customer, and have worked in the industry for over ten years. My passion for craft beer and all things fermentation has allowed me to understand what the most important decision making factors are for customers and how to encourage repeat business.
Customers want to interact with exciting brands and their first impression will determine how likely they are to come back. A great site design creates diehard fans from the first click.
Web design is evolving and allowing for more robust features like interactive scrolling and animated images that enhance your site.
I build sites that utilize your own original branding and blow the doors off of bland website builders for a distinct design that's 100% authentically you.
Websites offer many more customizable features than social media to let your fans know what's happening - plus, new customers are more likely to look at your website before following your social accounts. Use this opportunity to turn new visitors into lifelong, loyal patrons.
Editable notification bars tell customers what's just been tapped or lets them know about your next big event.
Update your tap list with just a couple of clicks. When it comes to tap list design, the sky's the limit.
Rehearsals and birthdays are big business for the breweries I've worked with. Make it easy for people to ask.
A real client's Google Analytics results for the first 30 days after their new site launch. And it's only grown from there.
If you think that social media is the only solution to reaching customers, here's something to think about:
Client websites get on average 30k - 60k+ impressions per month on Google alone (That's the number of times someone's eyeballs see a reference to your business.)
How many social posts would you have to put out to reach 30k+ people?
Feed scroll fatigue is real too. With websites, customers are purposely visiting you to find answers to specific questions.
No posts necessary.
With so much info in one place, people rely on websites to learn more about what's happening at your brewery.
Get more customers in the door and online.
An increase in users translates to more taproom visitors, higher event attendance, and more beer sold.
In addition to crafting a beautiful experience for your customers, your site also comes with a number of standard technical features.
Free Brewery Website Tips
In addition to your homepage, these are the three most visited pages on a brewery's website. Putting a little extra love into any of them will absolutely guarantee you an increase in customer traffic AND positive reviews.
People love to see where they're going before they head there. Show off the space you worked so hard to create - inside and out. Customers love to browse photos.
Tip: save yourself and customers time by posting taproom FAQs like, "Is it kid or dog friendly?"
By far, the largest deciding factor a patron will use to determine if they're stopping in.
Tip: highlight a beer on your site after it's just been tapped. People will always make any excuse to treat themselves to their favorite beer.
Beer + Food = the perfect pairing and people will want to know what their options are before visiting your taproom.
Tip: photos of food significantly increase the likelihood of someone stopping in. Guaranteed.
